Hi Patricia I can't see Edward Jones a locksmith on the 1851 census index for Worcestershire. I will search for an Edward with daughter Martha and get back to you but I think you will probably need to look in Staffs. Heather

After looking at it on the daughters marriage cert with a magnifying glass and without and comparing letters to others on the page for about a week it suddenly jumped out at me! Locksmith. The top of the cert says solemnized at St. Marys Church in the parish of ??????Wolverhampton. Can't read the parish name.

Hi Margaret I believe that St. Andrews parish is around the Netherton area of Dudley. Patricia Do you have any idea of Edward's occupation? What age would he be, 30+ do you think? Heather

Hi, could I please ask for a little help also. Trying to find Edward Jones would have had his daughter Martha Hannah Jones at home with him and I don't know any more!! Maybe a wife. One of my brick walls. I know they are from Staffordshire but don't know where except to say Hannah got married at St. Marys Church, Wolverhampton in 1859 of full age. Grateful for any help.

Hi Margaret I can't see a John Darby of that age in 1851 census for Worcestershire. These are the ones of similar age living in the Dudley area in 1851; Age 17, parents John and Elizabeth, living at New Dock. Age 16, scholar, parents James and Hannah, living at Sweet Turf. Age 10, parents Joseph and Sarah, living at Windmill End Age 17, Furnace labourer, parents John and Sarah, living at Belper Row, Derby End. Age 9? born in Brierley Hill, nephew of John and Sarah Darby living at Withymoor. Please let me know if you think any of these might be your John and I will send further information. Heather
