1891 searching ideas please

Thanks for that Ann. It looks very much like my Emily. Godalming is a logical place for her to be at that time. Her sister was also in the Godalming area in service. I obviously havent quite got the hang of searching on Ancestry! Im going to try that variation for her father on earlier census as Ive lost him before 1881 too! Thanks again Sue

I may have found her mistranscribed as Emily Durvant. The image looks like Durrant but the writing is awful! She is in Goldalming working as a housemaid. Please email me if you would like the image. Regards Ann

I cannot find Emily Georgina DURRANT aged about 15/16 on the 1891 census. She was born in Elstead Surrey in 1875 and is on the 1881 in Woking Surrey with her parents David and Georgina and her siblings Annie and Henry. By 1891 younger sister Annie is in service and Henry is living with his aunt. Both parents died 1883/1885. Emily did not marry until 1896 so I presume she was in service/working somewhere in 1891. Any ideas appreciated. Many thanks Sue
