Handwritten note against a birth entry means??

A relative has a handwritten entry at the bottom of the page of neatly typed entries (1932) to record the birth registration and underneat the standard information is written "see D' 49). What can this mean and how do you see D'49

I had this on one of my relatives. She was born in 1900 before her parents married. Her dad registered her again in 1949 with his surname. We would love to know why he waited so long as they married in 1908.

Maria, do you think it may be because he was making a Will and wanted to make sure she got the dosh no problems?
