I saw that one too but the age didn't fit as Sam says However, on saying that I can't find anything else that fits the name and I also can't find her on the 1901 census either as a boarder, visitor, niece, grand-daughter, whatever! Lou

So it looks like she didn't die cos the only Walsall one in Siobhan's list is the one Sammy found. She must be with other family members, just not sure where!

It is just possible she was married - legal at 12 then. Or badly mistranscribed. nell

Unknown Report 20 Jan 2005 23:00

Nell Never thought of that! The marriage part I mean....I've looked just under Violet, year of birth and place of birth but nothing obvious The twin was Rose. The other sister was Lily. They liked their flowers! Lou

I can see the twins birth registration on freebmd, incidently it looks as if there are other FORD twins born in that area too. Can you find a birth record for the Violet who died in 1902 or could it perhaps be a wrong transcription and she is yours anyway?

Smiley Report 21 Jan 2005 08:50

There is a corresponding birth for the Violet above, so she's definitely not yours Name: FORD, Violet Record Type: Births Quarter: June Year: 1902 District: Walsall County: Staffordshire Volume: 6b Page: 839 Have you checked any 1837 pages Gerri? Sam
