Have a G Grandfather in a family i am researching with the first name of Wedd. As far as i can tell, it is not an abbreviation. Anyone ever heard of it or know its history? |

If you type Wedd into FreeBMD you will see a few. Crista |

So there are! - Hadnt thought to look there. Been looking at First Names sites but couldnt find it. I also checked on FreeBMD for it as a surname and notice there are a few in and around the family village i am researching - so am guessing it is a wife's maiden name maybe. I guess time will tell - have only just started on this tree for my partner (like i havent got enough to do with my own tree. lol) |
