When you get to the box "open with" you should have ticked the box at the bottom "always use the selected program to open this type of file" as well. Another way for nearly all files is my computer / tools / folder options then the file type tab, here you can set which programs open which files. It is worth remembering where this is! Bob

I had problems opening my DejaVu downloaded images on a Mac until, with the help of ?Lizard support, we narrowed down the problem to my not having included ".djvu" at the end of the filename when I saved it. Once I added that onto the end of the filename, the system stopped trying to treat it as Excel and it was fine. As Giles says, you do have to make sure it's opening into the right software - e.g. Explorer or Netscape, or whatever. I have mine set for Netscape. Christine

Make sure you are opening them with Internet Explorer or the web browser you used to view them online, hence the internet software that's integrated with the DJV plugin. Right-click file => Open With => Internet Explorer

Margaret I've saved loads off 1837. It saves them as .gif files which I save to a different section on my pc and they open up automatically when I click on them, usually in photoshop or media viewer. What is your operating system is it XP? john

Everytime I save a page, when I try to open it just wants to uninstall the DjVu plug in thing. I can read them on the site, but after saving them, NO!!! Margaret
