There is a possiblity that my grandfather-in-law may have had his name changed as a young child when his mother remarried, i know what the 2 names are but how do i go about checking if it was changed. Hebert Sidney Trainer was born in poplar, London in about the right time but not under the name of Callow under which he was married. This all took place between his birth in 1889 and his marriage in 1920. the 1901 census shows him as Callow already Any idea Alison

I cannot find him as Trainer or Callow in 1891. Do you have his birth certificate? Are you sure of these facts? Was he born Poplar 1889?
