do ireland have there own records for bmd that are separate to englands ones? its just i had trouble finding a birth certificate for one of my ancestors but it turns out he might be from ireland now?

Your home page, middle column has Research articles Tracing Irish roots. Try cyndislist website, and GENUKI websites and rootsweb message boards and mailing lists too. all worth a try. Joy
