I dont think its a case of the names being inter-changeable but just as Christine said, the transcribers could easily mistake the written letter r and n as m.

They are certainly going to look extremely similar in lower-case script: rn & m are very close Christine

Remember if you are looking for Chamley, to look at Charnley as well. The names seem fairly interchangeable as far as I can tell.
