Hello Helen, I'm never quite certain that I am really being nice. I think there's a certain amount of challenge in trying to solve puzzles and come up with answers. And it's SO pleasing when the results are recognisably relevant! Thanks for the fun! Christine

Thanks Christine, yes that is them. I'd already found them on the Staffs site. It's great and like you say you print off the form and send it off. You even get the cert back in the post the next day! I often call in as they're based in Leek which is only 12 miles away from me. They actually get the cert for you while you wait and they're so nice too! Regards Helen

YEEESSSSS!!!! Thanks so much for finding them Sharon. You're a gem. I had a feeling it was transcribed wrong so I tried numerous options but had no luck at all. I'm thrilled to say the least! Debra found a missing family for me once as well. It really amazes me how you do it, and so quickly too!!! Thanks for the offer of the image but I have access to Ancestry. Thanks again, I really could hug you! Helen x

Hello Helen I have found your missing family, listed under the name Bigman instead of Beaman. Details are: Samuel Bigman, Head, Age 47, Ordinary Agricultural Labourer, born Checkley Tean Staffs Elizabeth Bigman, Wife, Age 47, born Checkley Tean Staffs Samuel Bigman, Son, Age 19, Groom, born Checkley Tean Staffs Lydia ", Dau, Age 11, born Checkley Harry ", Son, Age 8, born Checkley Violet ", Dau, Age 6, born Checkley Address is Mill Lane, Checkley. Interestingly it does have first Beaman, Samuel but has been crossed out and replaced with Samuel Bigman, obviously an error by the enumerator. Hope this helps, i can get the original image for you, if you send me your email address i could email you the image if you would like. Regards Sharon

I'm getting a bit fustrated now! Could someone kindly have a look for me to see if they can locate the following family please? From 1891 census: Samuel Beaman, 37, Brickmaker, born Tean, parish of Checkley Elizabeth Beaman, 36, born Tean, Checkley, Staffs Samuel Beaman, 9, born as above Mary Ellen Beaman, 7, born as above Ernald Beaman, 5, as above Lydia Beaman, 1, as above They also had Jane Elizabeth, 13 and I found her on the 1891 with grandparents. She married in 1896 but, I really need to find this missing family! Where could they be? Many Thanks
