Mary, If you go onto the Genuki site, you can find what is available on line for the county you need. Some of the Family History Societies publish Parish Records either in book form or on disc, at very reasonable prices. Quite a few counties have online "Parish Clerks" who will help you too. Cornwall and Dorset are both using this system. Rosemary(Essex)

Mary I really don't know, unless you have unusual names. This isn't much help, I'm afraid. I suppose if you can get to your records office, there might be info in the parish chest etc. I have a gt gt gt grandfather whose children are named in his settlement evidence, but he has an unusual surname so this just confirmed what I knew from the baptism register. Sorry! nell

Hi All, I have found my 3xggrandmother and siblings (1815). How do I then trace their parents when no names match in that parish? How can you, with any degree of certainty, know the family is yours?Has anyone any tips/guidance that would help me make a more informed decision as to whether I have the correct people, if I find them. Many thanks. Mary
