You should be able to find more info if you can find him on a census (say the 1881 census on FamilySearch.org). When you find hime (hopefully at home with his family) that gives you a whole lot more names and dates. (There should be some hints along these lines in your Getting Started page on GR) Christine

The search for that surname is taking me to Cambridgeshire nearly every time. There was one for Bourne, Lincolnshire, 1901 Is this what you are basing your info on? Can't find any George born in Bourne, Lincs with a name like Setchfield. Have also tried Sechfield and Sedgefield without success. nell
