Hi is anyone else having a problem with this today? I can get on OK, enter my search criteria, but every time it comes up with 'sorry we cannot complete this search'. Anyone got any ideas? Trudy

Narrow down your search criteria. They can only do a search for so many things. If yours goes above that limit, you get that message. What are you looking for?

Hi, all I'm looking for is the marriage of George Mills and Annie Mason c.1903 (so I asked it to search 1899 to 1903, and then tried each year individually - still with no success). I have also tried searching on only one of their names for only one year and it still doesn't like it!! So I can't quite see that my search is too complicated, but thanks for the tip, Trudy

Have you found them in 1901 census? You may be able to cut down on a few years searching.

Thanks Tracey - but that's really strange as I know my grandmother was born not long after they married in January 1904, and George Mills is definitely shown as her father and Annie Mills, nee Mason, is shown as her mother, so I suppose I'll just have to keep on searching. Trudy

It doesnt mean they didnt marry then, only it hasnt been transcribed yet.

Also Annie may have been married before so could be shown with a completely different surname at marriage.

Hi, no can't locate them on the 1901 census, in 1904 they were at 31 Wimbolt Street, London which is Bethnal Green, but I don't know much about them before this. Trudy

Those stats have a 3% margin of error ;) Trudy - any idea how old they'd be in 1901?

Hi Trudy In that case, either (1) they didn't marry before 1903; (2) her name at marriage wasn't Mason; (3) their marriage is one of the 2 or 3% that aren't yet transcribed...

Hi Trudy, I have just done a search for you on 1837 for the years 1902 - 1903. Unfortunately there dosen't seem to be any matches. I'm really sorry. Nicola xx
