Maurice, This is in the Help section on Ancestry: To use the Census Images Online and other features of Ancestry.com, the Active X settings on your internet browser must be enabled. To enable Active X controls within the Internet Explorer browser please do the following: 1. Open the Internet Explorer browser 2. Click on Tools at the top of the browser 3. Select Internet Options 4. Choose the Security tab 5. Click on the Custom Level button near the bottom of the screen 6. The first five options you see are Active X settings. Set the following options all to ENABLE: -Download signed Active X controls -Run Active X controls and plug ins -Script Active X controls marked safe for scripting 7. Click OK at the bottom of the screen 8. Click OK again You are now set to accept Active X controls Crista
