1901 was the time of the 2nd Boer War-----go to Google.....Asplin Military History.........on this site is a list of ALL soldiers that served in Sth Africa look under South Africa Medal every serving soldier got one. Maurice |

William Where have you looked? The 1901 census on ancestry, to my knowledge, contains limited army census, but the National Archives site has a fair bit. It's free to search online at www(.)nationalarchives(.)co(.)uk (remove brackets) but you will have to buy credits and pay to view the image. You can search by name or by address Lou |

Is it possible to find someone who was in army in 1901 they donot seem to be on the census. Thanks william |
