No Street name

On 1901 census my Glos ancestors address was "8, The Village, Rendcomb". So I had a house number but no road! nell

Just a thought, Misty. Are you absolutely sure that it's house numbers you are looking at and not household numbers? Street numbering in villages came in very late and sometimes not at all. B

Thankyou Esta & Christina..i was lookin at the image and at the top it had a black mark where the street name should have been...Yes you are right i will try the previous page..woz havin thick moment ...thank again Ellen

Hi...I have found some of my ancesters on the 1881 census..i have the right people in the right village but on the census it only says the number of the house not the street name...is there anyway i can find this out..would be glad of any help at all...thanks.. Ellen
