Thanks Deborah- thought it was just me! Thanks Margaret- great idea to save and print. Sioux - I mean the page when you click on the 'print' icon, (bottom right next to save)- It normally opens the whole image in another window then so you can print it, but last couple of days it has not been opening full image, just the top left corner- never thought to save as a jpeg though- thanks for that. Just tried again this morning - seems to be ok today:)

Guys, You are trying to print the bit that is currently showed on your screen ! You need to click on the Floppy disc icon which is the save icon, a new window will open then, and the whole page image will open up. Depending on your internet connection speed this can take a few minutes. If you're on Broadband it's only about 10 seconds! You can now elect to either print the whole page or save it. I would advocate saving every time, (as a .jpg image) then printing after. That way you always have the image to refer back to, so you can zoom in etc. The writing can be a bit small on the printout and quite hard to see properly. You can zoom in and just print the selected bit enlarged if you've saved it. Also you can play about with hard to read images in your image programs. I use Paint Shop Pro. It can be useful to cange the image to a negative. Viewing white writing on a black background, this can help you to read difficult words, it shows up light penstrokes, thus making words more legible. Best of luck Sioux

Simone, I had the same problem today, I could only print the top left hand corner of the image, I think it could be a technical problem on ancestry, but isn't annoying. Debbie

Simone I always save first as j.peg file and then print from that, changing the paper size to landscape. Margaret

Anyone having probs- When I view census image and click on 'print', the print page only comes up with corner of image, no matter what image I'm viewing, or no matter where on page is highlighted- Only got this prob this week, it's been fine up to now Any ideas anyone? Simone x
