Does anyone know if the 1851 and 1861 censuses for Liverpool have name indexes. I know there are street indexes, but if you do not know the addresss, I cannot see how you could trace people. Has anyone else used the Liverpool censuses?

Ann The 1861 has a very very partial one. The 1851 I don't THINK so but haven't really looked at my discs properly since I got them so could be wrong. Basically the only way without an address is to literally go thru 1000's of pages one by one till you find the people you're looking for. Not for the faint-hearted! Lou
