Can anyone tell me any good places to by CD roms of parish records and differnet area censuses, Thanks Linda

Hi Linda For parish registers have you tried the Family History Society for the area you are researching? They probably won't have all of them but it might be worth a look on their website. They are sometimes on floppy disk. Also, eventually they will be on the FreeReg site. For census cd's try S & N Genealogy at www.genealogysupplies.*com (remove the *) They are supposed to be of a better quality than the ones from Stepping Stones. Also eventually they will be available on the FreeCen site. But it might be worth a look there now as some have been added. Go to http://freecen.rootsweb.*com/ (remove the *) Jeanette x

Linda CDs are available but check the contents first, they are far from complete. I bought West Riding and Notts from TWR computing and it was from Ancestry. Many parishes are not covered at all and most do not cover 1812 to 1837 which is a big hole. Bob
