Ancestry census image printing problem - Help plea

When I try to print a census image from Ancestry, I'm only getting the top left hand corner of the image. This has only happened recently. I've never had a problem before. Could someone please tell me if I've pressed the wrong button somewhere along the line! Thanks, Lilian

This is caused by the canvas size of the image being too large i.e. the image you download is larger than the paper you want to print on and you therefore need to reduce the size to fit it on. you can either do this by changing the resolution:scale - decreasing the size so it fits on the paper by increasing the dpi or by simply decreasing the size. just decreasing the size sometimes makes the print out very poor quality. I try and make sure that I', printing at least 150dpi in order for it to be readable

Dear Miriam, I've tried your method and it works. The image is a bit on the small side but I can read it. Many thanks. Dear Zoe, I appreciate your suggestion but I'm sorry to say I haven't got a clue how to change my resolution! I'm afraid I'm still learning. I don't understand why, when previously I've just had to click on the print icon at the bottom RH side of the first page of the image to get the full printable image downloaded (that sounds like gobbledegook). Then I've been able to print this off without having to change any settings on my printer. Any ideas? Lilian

Click the save button first. Then when you go to print, make sure you change to landscape size, then print. I've never had a problem doing it this way Margaret
