You could be right - this is the modern description: Redcar & Cleveland Register Office, Westgate, Guisborough, TS14 6AP

My Great Grandmother married in 1902 It just says on the top of the Certificate Register Office, West Bromwich, County of Stafford. There would have only been one in West Bromwich. Maybe I am wrong but when My Aunt married in Lambeth in the late 1960's the Registry Office was in the Lambeth Council Office. Pat x

Is it usual for a marriage in a Register Office to not have the name of the Office on the certificate? Today I got a certificate of 1954 that just has " marriage soleminized at Register Office in the district of Cleveland in the County of York" There is no reference that it took place where I think it was so dont know if Im right. I think it may be Guisborough. The Supt. Registra is H. J. Bothroyd and Registra is Norah J. Mollan incase someone has a certificate of the year in Guisborough. Thanks.
