are there any sites that have info on japanese prisoners or war in ww2. i have a great uncle who was one, but i do not know the story behind it. |

Do you mean English P.O.W. in Japan? If so, Public Records Office in Kew have just released questionnaires completed by about 75% of P.O.W's on release (Japan and Germany). Had a quick look at them, but found nothing on who i was looking for. Questionnaires just give name, address, regiment and number, where held and when, and replies to a number of questions, which might give further info. If you would like me to look on my next visit, would be happy to do so. Just give me name, area lived in, and anything else you know about his service. |

Hi, I too had relatives who died in Japanese POW camps and found this site very good too: http://www*.fepow-community.org.uk. I found my relatives' details on the Commonwealth War Grave Commission site which led me to burial information. Good luck, S |
