can anyone tell me me what 'clasp iraq' means on my grandfathers royal artillery medal card?

This is a starting point: http://www.stephen-stratford.*co.uk/uk_medals.htm I think you'll find it means that the general aspect of the medal is made more specific by the "Iraq clasp" meaning that he saw service in that area. Christine
