Hi chances are that he was in the British Army in India. 1837 has army birth records (any children he may have had) also the IGI gives loads of info of overseas famililies` Good Luck Tina |

I have been told my ggrandfather was in India, can only find him on the 1881 census but have a marriage certificate in 1899 that says he was a shoe finisher, how can I check if he was in India ? or does anyone have a suggestion that could help find him, am looking for Albert Victoe Ward 5-01-1872 Elaine |
