Morning All. I know this has been asked before but i cant find the thread. How do i go about ordering wills for people that died after 1890? Does anyone know how much they cost as well? Thanks, Claire

Hi Claire, If you go to your homepage and scroll down there is a section called "getting started" it is explained in there far better than I can manage this time in the morning. Gwynne

Hi, if you have managed to find the info on National Archives, you will see you can post your fiver off to York for a copy of the Will. Did you enter Wills in the search facility on this board?

Hi Heather, Do you have the address in York? What do i do, do i just send them a letter saying what i want with a cheque for a fiver? I did search wills and saw something about this but no one put the address. Ive tried the national archives site as well but that is so complicated. Claire

Hi again, I'm awake now. You need to send a cheque for £5 (made out to the paymaster general) to the York office along with the exact date and place of death - plus his/her full name at death. York Probate Registry Castle Chambers York YO1 9RG Gwynne
