Does anyone know why the word 'foreign' should be added to the where and when born column? My Gt grandfather was born in Clangor sub district Aldridge Walsall staffs and the word 'foreign' is added. Do you think it means his family didn't actually live in the district? Ann glos

Ann The district is called Walsall Foreign, I have it on one of mine although I'm sure someone local to the place can explain why! Lou
