Hi, I listened to this programme and even though I have read books on the subject, this programme really brought it to life. I can`t recommend this programme enough. Lots of people will find they had rellies in the workhouse at some point, and this programme has things in it you won`t get in any book. I was fascinated. I`ve been looking to see if there`s a repeat but haven`t found one. Jay.

I'm listening to a BBC radio 4 factual documentary on Workhouses. It was posted on a list I belong too. If you go to r4 and the factual archive there is a link to listen to the previous programme. Should think it will be avialable for a few days. It's around an hour.
