Trying to solve this problem here goes louise alberto married alfred rudd 1893 age 21 {b1872} same person louise rudd 1901 census age 27 {born 1874} Which is right??? Tryed 1837 to find birth cert 1872-1874 birth place highgate london{no luck} what do i do now??? helenx

Hi Helen I know its no help but neither could be right! Ages on censuses are often wrong, I have loads of relatives that are a different age/birth year on every census I can find them on. Also people often fibbed on marriage certificatesm they didn't have to provide proof of age. You really need to widen your search to about 5 years eaither side of 1872-1874 to have a chance of finding it. Have you found her on the 1881 census? How old is she on there? Sam

Jim, yes i do have the right one i have louise& alfred marr cert, and on the 1901 census, cyril was my granfather helenx

The Louise Rudd on 1901 is widowed; as her eldest child is aged 7 and called Alfred, there is every chance it is the right one.

On 1891 census, William and Florence Dold were married so one (and only one) of them will be a sib of Louise - I would think Florence, since she was entered first on 1901 census.
