I think the time taken to despatch certificates must have more to do with which area they were registered in because I ordered 2 death certificates on 22nd Dec. just like Susie, and was also told despatch would be 7th January, but I received them both on Thursday, 13th January, but Susie says she is still waiting. They can't be doing them in the order they receive the orders, so it must be down to district. Kath. x |

Just read the note in with the certificate, due to the current high volume of receipts your orders will be despatched separately. This is a temporary measure Irene |

Good news. My certificates arrived today, 8 days later not bad eh? I did give them all of the references that they need, I guess that speeds things up somewhat. Ken. |

I ordered 2 yesterday by phone and was told that they will be despatched in a week. Hearing your stories, I'll expect them next month!!! Ken |

To give some idea my despatch date was 23rd December although i realise we have to take Christmas and New year into account. The thing is, if they are so far out between the proposed despatch date and the true despatch date (in my case 15 days out) why don't they adjust the proposed despatch date? it is not as if that was a one off, why don't they admit they are taking four weeks now not 5/6 days as they were before the wretched programmes went out on TV? To repeat what i put on the general board: As a matter of interest, if anyone is waiting for certificates. i ordered two on 12th December. One came yesterday, one came today (posted first class yesterday). These were death certificates with name, date and GRO references given. Ann Glos |
