I do wish GR would add some sort of flagging device to indicate that a person hadn't visited this site for say, three months - at least that way we'd know not to get too excited over the idea of a reply!

I know what you mean, but some people are always careful about people emailing them, we know GC/GR is ok but there are some people who can use this site just as we do for their own ends and not family history. So may be they are taking their time over answering. Irene

It's possible the people you have e-mailed are no longer members or don't use the site anymore but their tree and their information remains included on the site. Lou

What is the point in people joiningGR when they do not bother to answer messages/emails i have sent 3 people messages to see if they are link with me (which i am almost 100% sure they are) and not one of them has replied, maybe they just joined for the fun of it!!! I thought GR was for resarching your ancestors, but i must have got it wrong!
