I have finally found my G Grandmother as part of the following family but can find no trace of them after 1871. any help appreciated. Details as at 1871 are:- Thomas A Thornton 39 Head Byfield, Northamptonshire Mary Wife 30 John son 8 William Son 11 Maria Daughter 6 my g grandmother They were agricultural labourers/farmers and there was loads of other Thorntons doing the same about that time in the same place. I noticed from the Farm wage thread that if "immoral" acts occured the tennants could lose their property. I happen to know that my g grandfather ran off with Maria Thornton and granddad was born out of wedlock. Could this be why they have ALL disappeared? Any help appreciated cheers John
