I have a box of unidentified photos from both sides of my family. Through another site I made contact with a 2nd cousin. His grandmother was the sister of my grandfather. He e-mailed me her photo. The hairs on my neck sprang up as I watched it download. I knew I had seen the exact photo before, and rushed to my box. Sure enough, exactly the same studio portrait was in my box. It is no longer unidentifed. It is my great aunt Martha Ann Jackson! Keep hoping, and keep trying to find lost cousins! Wendy

Hang on to it, definitely! You never know when you might get that clue which could solve the question. In my grandmother's old album were several photos simply labelled "The Davis family". We had no idea who they might be, just assumed that they were her friends at the time or something. But, as I delved into the family history I found out that her grandmother (ie my GGGM) had remarried after GGGF died, to a certain Joseph Davis. They had several children, and through this site I met one of the Davis descendants - he sent me some photos of his GF Harry Davis (who was one of the sons of GGGM & her 2nd husband) and, you guessed it, the spitting image of "Mr Davis" in grandma's album!!

Hello, i have found a mystery photo in my late grans belongings and no-one in the family knows who it is. It is a family photo and on the back it says Streatham 1927. Well i have hit a brick wall with her mothers family and am wondering if this is them? The people dont look like her dads side. Not sure what to do with it.
