Need a sound-a-like name!

Have found a marriage on family search, where the woman's name is given as MOGER. Have claimed her as my ancester (partly in desparation!) & put the name in my tree on GR, but it seems she is the only MOGER in the system, so I guess that it isn't a real name. Any one got any suggestions please?

Hi Elizabeth I have found 10 different spellings for Meager which was quite a stumbling block for a while, until I found my James Meager on the 1881 Census as James Mager. He then appeared elsewhere as Magor, Meagor and Mayer. I probably have the odd Moger as well, although I can't be sure without checking. Good luck - but be prepared for anything to turn up!! Where are you looking? We have a Moger family in our Wiltshire village. Sue
