I've had Ancestry for a year and will definitely be subscribing for another. I have found so much information on there. You can subscribe I believe for three months and six months. There's also a 14 day free trial too which might be worth looking at. Naomi x

Got Ancestry in the summer and at first could find nothing - even the rellies I knew existed. Then I sent for a marriage cert and found extra names (1800). With the extra name I have now managed to go back to 1570, so that alone was worth the subs. Andrea

Lauretta I joined about 4 weeks ago, early crimbo prezzie from my supportive, but poor long suffering none gene hubbie. It has been excellent fot me and enabled me to trace back to 1811. It has also enabled me to "infect" two of my best mates with "genealogy" and help one of them trace back to 1834. Well worth all the 'pennies'!! It is also useful to have so that I can help others on here with lookups. I'd definitely give it the thumbs up!!! Lozie

If you want mainly for 1901 census it may be a good idea to check if the area you want is included yet as i don't think they have full coverage of England yet Paula

Are the 1901 images etc any different to what you download on the official census site? I expect it works out cheaper though on Ancestry.

I joined Ancestry*co*uk a few months ago, it was £70. I believe from other threads that it works out a bit cheaper to join Ancestry*com and pay in US$, especially as the $ is weak at the moment. You can download images to your heart's content without paying extra. Carole

Lauretta Not sure about current subs, but you can opt to pay £6 for 20 images I think, a payasyougo scheme. nell

Please can you tell exactly how much I would have to pay per year for this. What exactly would I get?? Can you join for less than a year and would it cost me to download images if I was a full member?
