Hi Gerri. My husband has two/three. A short birth cert with just his details on and a long one which has his adoptive parents details on (pretty much the same as a long cert for people not adopted except the column heading for mother/father are different). People who are adopted also have an original cert if they know their birth name which has their birth parent(s) name on. Sarah
