I don't know if this is any help, i searched the 1901 website for "Winifred Wynn" i found one, aged 8 in Plumstead, then i did a search for all wynn's in Plumstead and these are the people who came up. Emma Wynn 44 Essex ... Carole thankyou, there has always been a bit of a mystery with this side of family......maybe her father was not william after all? Winifred did say to her daughter (my nan) that she will never find out about her past...strange thing to say to your child i think! |

The only Winifred Wynn on the 1901 census the right age has a father named Thomas. I will check some spelling variations. Carole No, can't see anything. Follow the Google lead! |

Thats probably just the first of many births outside (or only just inside) wedlock you will find. Despite what your parents/grandparents claim, sex before marriage WASN'T invented in the 60s!! Carole p.s. I'll see if I can find her on the 1901 census. |

I may be just a bit stupid! Im looking for my Great gran Winifred Kathleen Wynn B 1895. Dont know where as cant find birth cert! On her marriage cert her father is William wynn, dead at the time of wedding. No age for him, says he was actor. How do i find him? if i have no clue how old he was or where he came from? Winifred married and died in Lambeth. Thanks Emma x |
