Yorks and Lancs Regiment WW1 records ? Any suggest

My grandad, Leonard Ferguson was in the Y and L. I found his records at Kew. However only 40% survive. I was lucky. There are also the war diaries for the Regiment but they only tend to mention officers, unless your ancestor transgressed. His medal should be on the sites mentioned though. John |

Hi John Try http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/ web site. They have world war one medal entitlement records. These show name, rank, regiment and medals awarded. Regards Eric Cross |

I am trying to track down data on my grandad and I know he was in this regiment in WW1, was gassed, taken prisoner so there mest be some records. Any suggestions on where I can track info down would be grateley appreciated John |
