Hi All Scotlandspeople also has Birth and Marriage records way back - to 1500s in some cases, but comprehensive coverage certainly as far back as the 1700s. Another great site is www(.)scotsorigins(.)com Remove the brackets as usual. This one is free. Happy hunting Ellen.

Try www(.)scotslandspeople(.)gov(.)uk. You have to pay a small fee but it's good value and the best site I've found for finding scottish bmds. Good Luck, Louise

Scotlands people is your best one. Costs 6 pounds for 30 credits. One credit to find the person then 5 to download the cert. There's only a limited time frame though. 1855-1928 for marriages (1929 from tomorrow??) 1855-1903 for births and 1855-1954 for deaths. There's census info on as well.
