Am I right in thinking that there is no surname index for some/all of the 1841 and 1851 censuses? (not including 1851 Glos) - I am thinking of purchasing London but won't if there is no surname index. |

Hello Sheila, I have the 1861 middx census which has no name index,it is searchable by area only.The 1861 London has a street index and a partial name index available to buy at the time of purchase.I believe the London 1851 has a partial name index available as well. Best wishes,Maureen |
