Hello I googled the name & "origin" and found this (via a detour): From: "Shirley Arabin" <arabin wave.*co.nz> Subject: Re: MALLALIEU, MELLALIEU, VERITY, VERITIE Date: Sat, 23 Mar 2002 16:23:10 +1200 Mallalieu appears in various books as Huguenot. Do not know about the others Shirley Arabin Mount Maunganui, New Zealand . ****** have inserted a large gap for the obvious e-mail symbol and you'll need to take out the asterisk as well. While the spelling isn't identical, I should be astonished if it were not a variant of the same name. Christine
