If anyone is bored and has got to the last layer of too chewey sweets in their tin of Roses, be grateful if you could have a quick look for a John Thomas Martin born Bermondsey (though he alternates with Southwark or Newington) in 1855 - he would be about 16 years old in the 1871. He was married and living at Lant Street, Southwark in the 1881. I have him in the 1881, 1891 and 1901 and his death in 1902. Many thanks. Ill just have another sort through that layer of Roses, you never know a soft caramel may be in there somewhere.

Many many thanks guys. Richard, that must be him. I just dont know how you do it. I couldnt find him after trawling for two hours through all the 16 year old Martins and variations. I had put more details on my other posting and had added he worked with brass in some capacity or other. Thanks so much everyone!!
