Any tips on finding children I'm not sure exist (?

If you're lucky, you may be able to find some info on the local BMD searchable sites, if your family happened to live in the right area. See ukbmd.org.uk. and click on the Local BMD icon on the left. The list is in alpha-order but two sections - the alpha sequence starts again after Yorkshire. Christine

Lisa You'd need to search 1837 online to find any children born after 1901 but until 1911 when the mothers maiden name was added to the listing, you may have to send for a lot of certs to get the correct ones especially if its a common surname Lou

Any idea where to go with this? My grandad was born out of wedlock, his mum went on a to marry nine years later. I have no idea whether she went on to have more children from the marriage, but am keen to track them down if they exist. They married in 1899 and in the 1901 census are still just living with my grandad. Any clues as to how I progress from here?
