Yeah, I love doing it too. The older stuff has been easier than finding out living people! My Uncle can't remeber his own ex-wife's maiden name! |

Claire Wonder if this is Alick's birth and the ALEX on 1901 was a mistranscription Name: Andrews, Alick Roberton Record Type: Births Quarter: June Year: 1891 District: West Derby County: Lancashire Volume: 8b Page: 418 If that is the case, could Emily's maiden name have been Roberton cos THIS then is the marriage Andrews, Henry Jerimiah 1879 September Southampton Hampshire 2c 48 ROBERTON, Emily Ann 1879 September Southampton Hampshire 2c 48 Found Henry and Emily on the 1881 census living in Southampton and he's a Draughtsman and Teacher aboard a ship! Claire Have you thought about going to the library and having a look at the old electoral rolls? It may give you an idea of how long the family lived at the house and give you an insight into what happened to them beyond 1901. You may also finally find out who the husband was IF there was a husband! Notice there's still no husband with Emily in 1891. Given that the lodgers in 1901 were Seaman, I wonder whether the husband was and was away a lot Lou |

can't find a birth record on free bmd or emily on 1881 census lol - would'nt you find it strange if they turned out to be related to you :S :D |

Yup that's them! :) I have looked at both census' (censi!?!) and I am hoping to find someone who may remember this family. Or at least know of them!!! I would love to know about the see-through member of our house!!! |
