Neil According to Genuki, the 3 parishes of Nottingham were St Mary, St Peter and St Nicholas. I know its expensive online, I can only suggest you see if you can get to the Family Records Centre in london where you can search 1901 on microfiche and check which streets are before and after your entry and then see if you can match them up. Alternatively, Nottingham Central Library should be able to help. nell

Neil, What's the name of your relative? Perhaps someone can get the 1901 address for you. Crista

Hi Neil I used to live in St Annes and a lot of my relations come from there. St Annes Church was on St Annes Well Road and as you say was demolished in 1971. Dickenson St is off St Annes Well Road. Most of it has been demolished and redeveloped. There was also St Catherines Church on St Annes Well road. If you need any more help I have a map (1900) and a book on old St Annes (Christmas Pressie) Lin

Hi Neil, Lin is right. In the 1940's I lived at No.1 Dickenson Street and then No. 15 for a short while. (I bought Lin the book!) Pauline

Hi Neil - I work in Sneinton - just on the borders of St Ann's Parish. St Ann's church was demolished and has been replaced with a new church St Ann with Emmanuel - resident incumbent Rev'd Jim Neil. Most of the St Ann's area was demolished during the 60's and 70's and rebuilt. I know the area pretty well, but of the original dwellings there is little - mostly council houses now. e-mail me if you want me to do some investigation on your behalf with Rev'd Neil - I know him quite well.
