My Grandad 1882/1964...Id like his Fathers name! or date of marriage....anything! Sorry but Im new to this and Im getting addicted but havent a clue what to do now. Im looking at ALL the boards trying to pick up a few pointers. You all look so professional! and Im feeling a dummy. George Henry lived in Walsal and was one of thirteen children. He married a 'Annie Matilda'...they had three children....Ethel FORD Cecil FORD Edith May FORD. They lived in Catherine street, Walsal and in 1923 they moved south to Chipperfield Herts. Hi Gerri Welcome to the obsessives club! We're not all that professional, we just blag it well! Your best starting point would be to get his birth certificate and then you'd have his parents names. After that you can start to look for him on the 1891 and 1901 census to get an idea of his siblings. Do you know when his eldest child was born? That would narrow down a possible year for his marriage Lou
