Unless I am mistaken, I don't actually export from PAF, there system is ment to work it out!! ie it says "If you don't specify a file, we will download the latest" since it then said that there were no files, I have at least 5 PAFS, I went into there Browes feature and tried to down load that but it kept saying "this is not a gedcom" Have now spent the last 7 hrs in the kitchen and I don't care anymore. Will try again next year.

I excitedly uploaded my tree to LDS when I had been working on it a couple of months, to preserve it for posterity. I have to say guys as ashamed as I am that there were mistakes on it which I rectified over the next 7 months. However, the LDS site doesnt allow you to modify the tree you have submitted and now I have a message that it has gone onto their records. I have submitted the corrected tree but it will appear separately to the first one. So now I can see why so many people have said the IGI has misled them.

When exporting from PAF5, in the export box are you clicking on the bottom circle labelled Other Gedcom 5.5 ? dave

Being the proud owner of a PAF5, though making many a mistake on it, I have decided to join world connect. I follow all the instructions but it keeps coming up with error mesage 'this is not a gedcom'. Any thoughts? I then decided to download on to Gens circle and they have a fault. So nobody wants my tree- bo hoo. Suggestions please.
