were can i get info off family run shops in 1800s?

hi all. does anyone out there no if their is any way i can find information on shops that family members owned in the 1800s. my family side own houses to rent and butchers shops all around norfolk. |

Try www.historicaldirectories.org. You can plot family businesses through Pigots/Kellys and other directories going back to the late 1700's. Not all directories are on this site in which case you will have to visit the nearest big library or CRO from where your ancestors came. Janet |
