Anyone got any ideas, I have been chasing rainbows and now discover that one branch of my tree has been joined to the wrong brother 3 generations back, it seems the only way I can correct it is to delete everyone below this - about 30 people and 3 branches - does anyone know of a way around this please!!!!!!!! Thanks Trudy

Are you using only the GR Tree to store your research ? If so it might be a good idea to obtain a separate program to run on your pc and use that as your main record, because as you can see the GR Tree is a bit inflexible. Have a look at PAF5 free from the LDS http://www.familysearch.org/ click on 'Order/Download Products' then 'Software download - Free' then 'Personal Ancestral File 5.2' I find it quite quite useful. You can export your GR file to your home program, sort out the muddle on that. Delete the present GR tree and import the corrected file from you home program. dave
