I would have thought you could put his title and name in a google search to see if it comes up. Also if he was gentry he would probably have left a will and you can look that up on the National Archives documents on line. |

I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. A releative of mine was a Sir - so I have being told - around the 1700s. How can I check this out - and where should I look - and is there anyway of checking online. I would be grateful for any help Many Thanks |
