Births at Sea - Imagine, no epidurial!!

I believe all births at sea were registered at a church at Poplar, East London. Hope this is of some help.Jim |

This one (from Ancestry)? Ann Randall 33 At Sea Off Ascension Daughter Sholing Hampshire In fact on the official 1901 it says "At Sea Off Ascerrsion B S" |

Just learnt that a relative was born off "Assersion B S" in 1868, got the info from the 1901 census. I know that they went to New Zealand, so could this read "Ascention?". How can I trace records and what might they show? Happy Christmas! |
